They finance education program for youth Chihuahua

Chihuahua .- Former U.S. President Bill Clinton and Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim today announced the implementation of an educational program that seeks to improve the employment prospects of young people in the state of Chihuahua .

The project aims to use football and other team sports to help young people between 16 and 24 years to be reintegrated into the system formal education and to learn entrepreneurial skills to help them in the labor market.

Clinton Giustra Initiative for Sustainable Development and the FundaciĆ³n Carlos Slim, supported by international donors, will be responsible for funding the program, to be operated by the FundaciĆ³n Comunitaria de la Frontera Norte.

The program, called "To Win", have been trained and five thousand young people in Latin America and the Caribbean, most of which are in formal employment, returned to school or set up his own business.

"We are delighted to participate in a project that uses sport to encourage young people to seek new job opportunities, "Clinton said in a statement.

The program in the northern Mexican state of Chihuahua expected to enroll 900 young people and, according to the success you have, its promoters would consider extending it to other communities in Mexico.

"We are pleased to participate in Chihuahua with a program that has been so successful in other Latin American communities to provide jobs for young people," said Slim.
